No space
The hospitals of Jammu and Kashmir especially those designated as covid hospitals are showing the impact of the heavy rush of patients seeking admission.
Most of these patients are infected with covid-19 virus and they have the main problem of drop in the oxygen levels. Though the government is maintaining that they have enough oxygen supplies available, space is the problem now.
According to the recent media reports quoting government people, most of the hospitals have no beds for covid infected patients and it is resulting in a mess on the ground.
Most of the patients are not getting the admission in the hospitals as the hospitals authorities are maintaining that they are only giving admission to the serious patients.
Hospital authorities have further appealed people not to be in panic as the patient with mild symptoms can be treated at home. The recent fatalities due to the covid infection have added to the scare and fear of the people and the situation is really alarming on the ground.
The authorities are inspecting various covid designated hospitals in order to know the ground situation and in many hospitals they have found themselves that space can become a problem and have ordered creation of additional beds to treat the covid patients especially in Srinagar city.
