Mehbooba speaks again
Mehbooba has been very vocal since her release from the detention as she was arrested along with hundreds of political activists, lawmakers, and former ministers.
Recently she said that the iron fist policy of the Centre will not work in Jammu and Kashmir and they will have to restore the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.
She said that the struggle for article 370 is long and tough but claimed that she would be on this path even for any consequences.
Mehbooba Mufti was instrumental in forging an alliance among the mainstream political parties of Kashmir and it was her single-minded effort which culminated into the formation of the Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration.
She was able to bury all hatred and acrimony with National Conference and during the DDC elections, she distanced herself from all the controversies arising during those elections.
She said that she was not interested in seat sharing, or in the mandates being distributed and reiterated that the alliance is for the greater goal of restoration of article 370.
She has been very critical of the BJP government at the Centre and has carried out frontal attacks against their policies being carried out in Jammu and Kashmir.
