Noorabad Kulgam plunged to darkness

Residents of many villages in Noorabad area have alleged that they have only two hour power supply during these days. The villagers said that they are getting electric supply only for a few hours as their bills have been enhanced.
“Previously we used to pay Rs 370/m but now from the month of September we are getting the bill for Rs 570/m” said Ali Muhammad of Watoo village of Noorabad.
The people are so angry with the erratic power supply that the village committees of about a dozen of villages in Noorabad have decided to go for protests from Friday, many village heads told this reporter.
The student community is suffering most in these villages as they have not been able to carry on their educational activities as it is virtually plunged the area to darkness
