In the still waters of river Jhelum

In the past one decade government made several announcements that they have started water transport; in river Jhelum in order decongest the city roads during the peak hours.
Even the boats started doing the dry runs on river Jhelum with officials but water transport never started. Now the SDRF has kept many boats of their department anchored near Peerzo in Srinagar.
These boats could have been used for the water transport in Srinagar as tourism department has also purchased many boats in the past and they are not operational.
