Srinagar city and other parts of Kashmir are already reeling under economic depression as there has no business especially tourism for the past eight months.

District authorities of Srinagar have recently started home delivery of food grains and LPG for the residents of the city. While they have distributing free food and medicines to migrant workers, they will soon realize that they will have to cater to thousands of families in city as people are running out of money.

Many families in Srinagar city have lost of the earning hands as more than one lakh Kashmiri youth have lost jobs due to the August last year lockdown. While ration and LPG are being distributing in the city, there are many families who have no money left in their purses to purchase these essential items.

While in the rest of the places even the few days of lockdown have resulted into the crises forcing authorities to distribute free food for their survival, in Kashmir, this lockdown when connected with previous lockdown makes it eight months old.

In the past eight months Srinagar residents have borne the brunt of the situation with complete paralyses of life, due to the lockdown imposed by the government.
