Srinagar: There are rumours flying thick and high in entire Kashmir valley that there would be trouble after August 15, in Kashmir valley as Amarnath Yatra will end. These rumours have their basis in the recent New Delhi based media reports that the Central Government is going to strike down article 35A in Kashmir. Some of the news channels have said that BJP Government is going to take some bold decisions regarding Kashmir in the mid of August.

These rumours came on social media also when Former Chief Minister Omer Abdullah on twitter said that the government officials instead of giving any respite to the people of Kashmir were busy in frightening them. He quoted the news items about the rumours and reports that the Central Government is going to do something very bold regarding Kashmir.

All these rumours have now resulted in lot of panic among the people of Kashmir as the Central Government after the recent visit of NSA Chief Ajit Doval has decided to send additional ten thousand paramilitary troops to Kashmir in the coming days.  The hospitals in Kashmir especially in Srinagar have received reportedly fresh supplies of first aid material from the government and they have been told to keep their emergency department ready.

Among all these reports the people of Kashmir are silently watching the situation while Governor’s Administration has so far till this report has been filed not denied any rumours or reports coming in section media about the possible unrest in Kashmir.

With tourism already down and Amarnath Yatris is not been allowed to go for shopping in Kashmir and not being allowed to entire Srinagar city, the people of Kashmir are reeling under economic depression. With economy in shambles, such rumours and reports of any major unrest is only adding to their worries as they have witnessed months of three long unrests in the year 2008, 2010 and 2016. After the unrest of 2016, they have not seen any tourism in Kashmir and the tourist traffic is all time low in the current summer.
