Shutdown in Tral on 3rd day against militant killings
Srinagar: Tral township of southern Kashmir’s Pulwama district is observing a shutdown for the third consecutive day on Monday against the killing of six militants in a gunfight in Armpora village on Saturday.
All shops and businesses establishments are closed, while traffic was off the roads in the town.
On Saturday six militants of Ansar Gazwat-ul-hind were killed in a forces’ encounter at Arampora village in Tral.
Authorities have also suspended classwork at Islamic University of Sciences and Technology (IUST) postponed the examinations scheduled for today amid fears of protests.
