Srinagar witnessed minus temperatures as fog hits Kashmir

Srinagar city the capital of J&K state witnessed minus 4.2 during the previous night as temperatures went further down in Kashmir valley during this 40 days of harsh winter which began on December 21 and will continue till January end.
Ladakh region also witnessed cold wave as according to MET office of Srinagar Leh was the coldest in the region with temperatures going down to minus 8.1 Celsius.
On Monday morning most parts of the Kashmir valley were engulfed in a thick layer of fog disrupting traffic on many roads. The visibility became prominent as this report was being filed as the fog has started disappearing from many parts. Much to the relief of those people who were scheduled to come to Srinagar there was no fog in and around Sringar International Airport and all the flights were on time.
