Cow vigilantes of Jammu released, Mia Altaf wants action against cops as well
Srinagar: Even as Reasi police released the eleven people who were arrested for attacking a Gujjar family at Talwara with iron rods, Gujjar leader and National Conference senior leader Mian Altaf in a press conference in Jammu has demanded action against the cops who were watching the murderous assault on the Gujjar family. Reports from Jammu said that police faced protests by ABVP and BJP supporters in Reasi as they were demanding withdrawing of FIR against the eleven accused persons. Earlier government of Jammu and Kashmir said that they will not tolerate such attacks on innocent people in the name of cow protection and said that they will book such people under PSA.
With all the accused out on the bail Gujjar leader Mian Altaf said on Tuesday that had cops watched such attack in Kashmir they would have killed all the accused on spot and dubbed them as terrorists. The video of the attack on Friday night at Talwara has gone viral in which an old man is being beaten with iron rods and his daughter is begging them to stop and crying for help. Altaf has demanded that first the government should take action against those cops who are seen in the video watching the murderous assault without even touching the goons.
