New traffic route to enter and exit from Srinagar city
Srinagar: Traffic police officials of Srinagar city, Thursday evening have asked all commuters to follow their new diversion plan to enter and exit from Srinagar city. This plan would be enforced from Friday April 21 and according to this new diversion plan there would be only one way traffic on Abdullah Bridge and no vehicles will be allowed to come from the opposite direction. The vehicles which would be allowed from Abdullah Bridge shall have to take left turn towards New Era School and would be fined if they try to take the Jhelum Bund route from Convent School side. Similarly the vehicles from Lal Ded Hospital side and Jawahar Nagar side will have to follow one way traffic rule along Lal Mandi-Convent School area. No vehicle will be allowed on this route from this direction. Appealing the people to cooperate traffic police department said violators would be fined on spot.
