Student, police clash continues in Srinagar
Srinagar: Small groups of students including girl students clashed this afternoon with police and paramilitary forces at number of places including Regal Chowk, Lal Chowk and within the premises of S.P. Higher Secondary School. Police used heavy baton charge and tear-smoke shells and almost pounded the places where the students were trying to assemble.
Dozens of police and paramilitary vehicles stand parked outside the Women’s College on Maulana Azad Road and S.P. Higher Secondary School, forcing the shopkeepers to close their establishments as there has been lot of tear-smoke and stones being used by both police and students on each other.
