SHRC seek details about Pulwama college incident
Srinagar: State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) has taken action on the newspaper reports that many students were thrashed by police and security forces in Pulwama Degree College and has also asked for a detailed report about the human shield story against army.
SHRC has said that they cannot be silent over the issues of gross human rights violations and the spokesman of the SHRC in a statement to press said that using a person as a human shield was a grave violation. SSP Budgam has been told by Commission to furnish a report about this incident.
The Commission has also asked SSP Pulwama to file a detailed report regarding how police entered inside the premises of Degree College Pulwama and injured 50 students. In both the cases, both SSPs have been told to file their reports within two weeks.
