Pulwama College closed, fearing student protests
Srinagar: District administration of Pulwama has issued an order closing down Government Degree College for Boys Pulwama on April 17 and 18, fearing protests. More than 50 students were injured when the security forces and police entered into the college premises on Saturday and thrashed students. Many of them received serious injuries and police did not pay any heed to the requests of this college principal pleading with them not to enter inside the campus.
Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti was shocked by the clashes inside the college and she has sought a detailed report from the police about the incident.
