DR Farooq Abdullah is being advised by his senior party leaders to resign if he will win today’s parliamentary election, reports said. Sources closed to national conference said that they have told Farooq Abdullah that the 93% have boycotted and he should resign on moral grounds. However reports said that Omar Abdullah has been pleading in the party that Farooq should go to the Parliament as the voice of Kashmir as this crucial juncture when the Centre is not paying any heed to start a dialogue here

Similarly joint candidate of congress and national conference, Ghulam Ahmed Mir has already said that he will not contest under the present Mehbooba Government dispensation. Congress leadership has decided to approach Prime Minister Narinder Modi to brief Central government about how the Mehbooba Government has derailed the democratic process in Kashmir.

Chief Minister Mehbooba mufti has already said in Jammu that she had warned election commission of India against holding by election in Kashmir and has put the blame of violence and low voter turnout on it.
