Mehbooba blames ECI for low percentage and violence

Srinagar: Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir  Mehbooba Mufti on Friday lashed out at Election Commission of India for going ahead for the by polls of Srinagar despite her feedback and recommendations against holding of polls in fluid situation of Kashmir.

Mehbooba said that results of their not paying any heed to her governments recommendations are before the entire nation. She put the blame of boycott and violence on ECI while saying that she has been crying that situation was not conducive for holding elections in Kashmir. Mehbooba said that the recorded seven percent polling in the by-poll of Srinagar was because of ground situation not being conducive. She lashed out at Farooq Abdullah and his son Omar for being political opportunists. Mehbooba said that for Farooq Abdullah stone pelters are fighters for the nation in Kashmir and government agents in Jammu.
