Restrictions in Srinagar as Mirwaiz Umar under house arrest
Authorities have decided to suspend Internet access or have downgraded its speed in Kashmir valley on Friday as precautionry measure. Police and security forces were deployed in strength in downtown Srinagar on Friday with curfew like restrictions in force.
Authorities have also indicated that there would be no Friday prayers in Jamia masjid of Srinagar city today due to restrictions . Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was detained at his Nageen residence on Friday morning.
