JRL calls for protests tomorrow
Srinagar: Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) comprised of Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik Thursday called upon people to held protests tomorrow against the recent killings in Kashmir.
The leaders issuing a joint statement called for protests against the killings in Shopian, Anantnag and Kangan.
13 militants, all belonging to south Kashmir, four civilians of south Kashmir and one civilian of Kangan were killed in different force’s actions from Sunday last.
The whole valley observed protest shutdown for three days against these killings.
The JRL also issued a memorandum to be read and passed in every mosque during Friday prayers.
Meanwhile, Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani has announced to address people at Hamza Masjid, Lal Chowk before Friday prayers.
