Jaish militant laid to rest amid pro-freedom slogans in Tral

TRAL : Thousands of people attended the funeral prayers of slain Jaish e Muhammad, militant in south Kashmir’s Tral of Pulwama district on Sunday.

In a 12 hour gunbattle at Hajin-Satoora village of Tral, the militant identified as Mukhtar Ahmad Urf Bitta Molvi of Ameerabad area of Tral was killed, in an encounter with Police, CRPF and Army in Hajin forests. The other two militants including a foreign militant was also killed in the said encounter.

People in huge numbers converged at the house of Mukhtar Ahmad when his body arrived in his native village. While men were seen chanting pro-freedom and pro-Zakir slogans, the women folk were wailing and beating their chests to mourn Mukhtar’s death.

Chanting pro-freedom, pro-militants and anti-India slogans, Mukhtar was finally laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard in Ameerabad Tral.

The Jinaza of slain militant was also held many times there in local Eidgah.

Meanwhile, spontaneous shutdown is being observed in Tral area of Pulwama district on second consecutive day , following the death of three militants in the area.
