Ariel firing by Army to disperse protesters at Ajas,Bandipora.

Army on Tuesday resorted to aerial firing in Ajas locality of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district after youth pelted them with stones.
A source said that army’s 13 RR unit stationed at Ajas fired few shots in air to disperse the stone throwing youth in the area.
Police, however, denied reports of aerial firing by army in the area.
“Army did not resort to aerial firing. Neither were they pelted with stones,” said a senior police officer of the district.
Meanwhile, locals said that complete shutdown is being obeserved in the area following a cordon and search operation launched in the area early morning.
“All shops and other business established were closed in the area,” they said.
