Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) has called a shutdown on July 2, Sunday to pay tributes to two civilians and as many civilians killed in forces’ operation in Dialgam area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Two civilians were killed and over two dozen others injured after forces opened fire on protesters near the site of a gunfight.

Two militants, including Lashkar commander Bashir Kashkari were killed in the firefight that raged in Breithi-Batpora village.

“We appeal to Kashmiri people to observe complete shutdown tomorrow to pay tributes to those killed in Dialgam,” said a statement, issued by the JRL.
