Cop shot dead in Kulgam
Suspected militants on Thursday shot dead a policeman in Kulgam district in southern part of Kashmir.
Slain has been identified as Shabir Ahmad Dar, a resident of Bogund in Kulgam. He was associated with the Special Operations Group of the Jammu and Kashmri Police, reports said. “He was posted in Police Station Damhal.”
They said that Dar was on leave and was working in his field when some gunmen chased him and fired five bullets at him. He was brought dead to district hospital Kulgam.
