Volunteer Team leaves from Jammu for Kheer Bhawani Yatra Preparation.Adequate security arrangements made in and around the Temple.

May 30, 2025: Ahead of Mela Kheer Bhawani which is to be celebrated on 3rd June at revered temple of Godess Ragniya Devi ,popularly known as Mata Kheer Bhawani in Tulmulla area of District Ganderbal,the first batch of Yatris, led community leader M.K. Yogi left Jammu today in wee hours.The team of volunteers was flagged off from Jagti Township for the sacred annual pilgrimage to Kheer Bhawani Temple, on the auspicious occasion of Zyesht Ashtami.
Alongside the Yatra contingent, an advance and volunteer team comprising prominent community members — Ravi ji bakshi, Prem ji sharma,Tej Krishan Dhar, Er. Sunil Kumar, Ashwani Kumar Bhat, Vakas Koul, Kamal Krishan Ganjo, Naveen Gussi, Raj Kiran, and Chander Dhar, urmila kent, sunita jamwal R— has also been dispatched to oversee and coordinate the preliminary arrangements at the holy site.
This team has taken with it essential ration and logistic supplies to ensure smooth facilitation for the arriving pilgrims and to assist in the spiritual and cultural preparations at Kheer Bhawani Shrine. Their early arrival reflects the dedication of the community towards upholding age-old traditions and ensuring a seamless and spiritually enriching experience for all devotees.
Community members and local leadership gathered to offer their heartfelt wishes and support to the Yatris and volunteers, praying for a safe, peaceful, and spiritually fulfilling pilgrimage.
This annual pilgrimage not only reinforces the deep-rooted cultural and religious bonds of the Kashmiri Pandit community but also strengthens the spirit of unity and devotion across generations.
Meanwhile ,the District Administration has made all necessary arrangements for the pilgrims comming from various states of country.fool proof security arrangements have been put in place to ensure smooth pilgrimage.
Meanwhile,Senior Superintendent of Police Ganderbal Khalil Poswal visited the revered Kheer Bhawani Temple to review the security arrangements.
Speaking to the media, the SSP stated that comprehensive security measures have been in place for the past 15 days to ensure a safe and peaceful environment for devotees. “We have made elaborate security arrangements and are committed to facilitating a secure atmosphere for the smooth conduct of the Mela,” he said.
The SSP also appealed to devotees to visit the temple and participate in the celebrations without any fear. “I urge all devotees to come and celebrate Mela Kheer Bhawani. All necessary arrangements have been put in place for your safety,” he added.
