Recently Divisional Commissioner Jammu conducted an extensive review of the final arrangements for the upcoming elections in Samba District.

He took stock of the law and order situation in the district. In coordination with senior law enforcement officials, he assessed the security arrangements being put in place to ensure a peaceful and incident-free polling environment.

He emphasized the importance of meticulous planning and seamless coordination among all departments involved in the electoral process. He stressed that the successful conduct of free and fair elections is paramount and requires unwavering commitment from all stakeholders.

He inspected the Election Control Room, which will serve as the center for managing real-time polling operations and addressing any emerging challenges on Election Day. The control room is equipped to handle various election-related issues and ensure swift resolutions to maintain the integrity of the electoral process.

A detailed inspection of the Media Certification and Monitoring Committee (MCMC) cell was also conducted, where the Divisional Commissioner was given a thorough briefing on the operations and protocols being followed by the teams stationed there.

The visit was attended by key district officials, including SSP Samba, Vinay Kumar, ADC Samba, Jagdish Singh, Nodal Officer MCC, Gurpreet Singh, and other nodal officers responsible for various election-related duties.
