Searches, security beefed in Lal Chowk on Friday

In Srinagar, police and security forces on Friday almost cordoned the area from Regal Chowk to Jahangir Chowk and held a massive parade.

During this operation they searched all the pedestrians and passing by people including the two wheelers. All the people who were traveling in their private vehicles were also searched by police and security forces.

This operation is ahead of 26 January as the government has taken a lot of measures including the enhancement of security and vigil at all the sensitive places in Kashmir valley especially in Srinagar city.

Security vigil has been enhanced at all the vital installations of the government in Srinagar city as more police along with security forces have been deployed at such places ahead of January 26.
