Sudden Saturday announcement of covid curfew, throw life out of gear

The government on Saturday morning suddenly announced weekend curfew in Srinagar city especially in Lal Chowk and Polo View, throwing life out of gear.
Most of the shopkeepers had come and the business establishments were also open when the microphone fitted police vehicles asked the people to adhere to covid curfew and said that they will start taking action under law if the people violate the curfew.
Soon after the announcements, Lal Chow and Polo View remained deserted with shopkeepers heading to their homes. Most of the business establishments were also closed as the authorities have allowed only the essential services.
