Public distribution of ration is becoming online and recently LG Manoj Sinha was informed by his administration that one crore people are linked to their system who are getting the benefits of the ration distribution in Jammu and Kashmir.
In order to make the rations available for the winter months in those hilly areas of Jammu and Kashmir which are cut off because of the severe winter and snow, Manoj Sinha directed his administration that they should store the winter ration in their stores ahead of the time so that during the winters the ration is available for these cut off areas as otherwise the population of such areas can face hardships.
In order to introduce all the schemes of the central government for the common people in Jammu and Kashmir, in a recent high level meeting Manoj Sinha has asked his administration to ensure seamless distribution of additional free-of-cost food grains under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) to alleviate the hardships faced by the poor and needy due to Covid-19 situation.
‘One Nation, One Ration Card’, part of the Prime Minister’s Technology Driven System Reforms under the Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, has empowered the poor and the needy and the government is keeping the focus that these all benefits reach to the needy without any delay.
The government informed LG that they are taking all the possible steps to give people benefits under the different central schemes and said that more than One Lakh MT allocation made under various schemes in May- 2021.
