DDC polls start in Gund Ganderbal

Gund: Braving chill and snow bound lanes in many villages of Gund large number of women and men came out to vote on Saturday morning as this segment is going for DDC polls today in the eight phase election.
Additional security forces were put in place in most of the areas as people started coming out from their homes early in the morning despite chill and snow bound lanes. This is the first election being held after the abrogation of article 370 on August 5, 2019.

National Conference, PDP, PC and many other small political organizations have recently come under one umbrella called PAGD People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration and have decided to contest these elections.

PAGD surprised BJP and the administration by deciding to participate in the local polls as it was expected they will boycott these elections.
