Despite continous lockdown and restrictions in Kashmir valley, there has been one more death of a COVID-19 positive patient. Authorities have been maintaining that they are trying their best to save the human lives but the fact of the matter remains that COVID-19 deaths are piling up here also. In the recent past even a doctor from North Kashmir got infected due to COVID-19 and is presently undergoing treatment.

A 72-year-old patient from north Kashmir’s Tangmarg Baramulla died on Saturday at SKIMS Medical College and Hospital Bemina, Srinagar, taking the number of deaths to six due to deadly Coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir. According to hospital report, the patient was admitted in the hospital on 13th of April adding that patient was suffering from hypertension and other illnesses.

With his death, the number of casualties due the novel Coronavirus has reached to six in J&K. Earlier, five patients have died due to COVID-19 including four from Kashmir and one from Jammu.

In J&K, the first death due to the Coronavirus was reported on 26 March from Sopore, second on March 29 from Tangmarg and third from Bandipora on 07 April, fourth on April 8 from Udhampur and 5th on April 17 from Sopore.

It is a collective fight of people, doctors and administration against this pandemic and the tragic death of another person is really a matter of concern.
