Like his father, former chief minister Omar Abdullah has decided to maintain silence on the situation prevailing in Kashmir post abrogation of article 370. Talking to media persons after his eight months detention near his Gupkar residence, he appealed central government to restore 4G services and also urged release of all political prisoners in Kashmir. Earlier government revoked his detention order and now he is a free man in Kashmir. It is ironical that when the government and police are forcing people to remain indoors, Omar Abdullah has asked to move out.
According to news reports, Omar has given reason of COVID-19 to remain silent on the politics.
