COVID-19: Restrictions imposed on social gathering, meetings at Udhampur
Hotels closed at Patnitop till March 31, 2020
UDHAMPUR, MARCH 16:- District administration Udhampur on Monday imposed restriction on social gatherings, meetings and conferences in the district as a precaution against spread of COVID-19.
District Magistrate, Dr. Piyush Singla issued directions/orders under 144 CrPc ‘to prevent danger to human life, health and safety’ and imposed restrictions on all social gatherings/meetings/conferences in the jurisdiction of district Udhampur with immediate effect till March 31, 2020.
“The General public shall follow these instructions and in case of emergent situation permission should be sought by the concerned stakeholders from the local administration i.e concerned Tehsildar. Any violations of this order shall invite action under Indian Penal code,” the order stated.
In another order, the DM Udhampur ordered closure of all hotels falling within the jurisdiction of Patnitop Development Authority with immediate effect till March 31, 2020, Hotel Management Authorities were directed to ensure immediate compliance of order in letter and spirit.
