Residents of Aripal Tehsil complaint non-availability of electricity

SRINAGAR,): Residents of  Aripal Tehsil of Tral sub-district complained that they are facing severe hardships especially during the winter season due to non-availability of electricity .

The residents said that PDD officials are resorting to frequent power cuts in the area.Aripal Tehsil of Tral has almost 30 villages including Dar Ganie Gund, awaharpora lam, deodarpora, heavan yangvani,sofigund,khanagund,saturated,Narastan,Zoastan,Guttroo,Hajin,Bangudaar,Nagnaad,Laribal,dharamgund,Wagad,Gadpora,syedabad pastuna, Gulshanpora, Gaang, Dembal, Lorow Jaeger and Loragam.

Residents said that they are facing huge problems due to frequent power cuts from last couple of months. “Government lied to us that they will increase the power supply time as compared to the other Areas but they did not,” said , Gh. Nabi Lone a resident and Lumberdar of  village Dar Ganie Gund of Aripal Tral while adding that they used to have almost better power supply in other months compared to this month.

Similarly resident of Jawaharpora and deodarpora  area said that the area remains in darkness soon after sun set. “We even have no means to protest because our protests are getting crushed with force so it’s better to remain silent than to get booked or injured in government action,” he said while demanding scheduled power supply for the area.

PDD doesn’t follow any power curtailment schedule. They resort to power cuts as per their wishes ,” said a group of residents from Aripal Tral. “Despite paying electricity bills on time every month , PDD has failed to ensure adequate power supply ”, said residents of village. (PTK)
