Naat,Qiraat competition held at Khari

RAMBAN,: As part of the “Khelo India” initiative, the District Administration Ramban today organized inter-school “Naat and Qiraat” recitation competition here at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Khari.

Saima Ashraf student of class 11th of GHSS Khari was adjudged overall best while SamreenaBanoo – class 12th student of GHSS Mahooand Ishrat Hassan class 9th student of HSS Khari secured 2nd and 3rd position respectively.

Around 32 students of nine High Schools and two GHSS participated in the competition. Outstanding participants were awarded by the prizes.

The aim of holding the programme was to provide students a platform to develop   cultural, spiritual and aesthetic abilities.

Principal GHSS Khari, Narinder Sharma   was the Chief Guest on the occasion, while    ZEO Khari, Ghulam Mohi-Ud-Din was the Guest of Honour. Besides, a large number of locals and students were present on the occasion.

Sr. Lecturer, Dr. Mohammad Amin Khan, Headmaster, Mohd Sohil and   Khursheed Ahmed Madani acted as judges. Mohammad Rafiq Naik Master HSS Khari presented the vote of thanks.

The principal appreciated the participants for beautiful recitation in both the disciplines. He informed that the Khelo India programme has been launched with an aim to engage the youth in integrated development and channelize their energy in development of nation and imbibe leadership qualities, team spirit and discipline among them.
