NIT closed uneasy calm on Saturday morning.

Srinagar: Conflicting directions from the State Administration are adding to the confusion on ground. While Divisional Commissioner Baseer Ahmad Khan said that all educational intuitions will open on Saturday, NIT has suspended class work till further order. The order registrar of NIT on social media has said that he have the suspended the class work on the direction of district administration. Most of the parents in Srinagar did not send their children’s to schools due to looming fear that curfew may imposed any time onwards in Kashmir.
Although after meeting Mehbooba led all party delegation at Raj Bhawan late evening on Friday, the repeated assurance of Governor Satya Pal Malik that all is well has not responded on the ground by people. The attendance in most of the schools on Saturday was reported thin. Reports said that the authorities in University in Kashmir, IUST and Central University were waiting for the directions from the State Administration to suspend the class work. University of Kashmir likely to pre-pone their summer vacation, reports said.
