State Governor Satya Pal Malik in the recent past has tried to convey multiple messages to the people of Kashmir especially to the youth of Kashmir. Malik has repeated the offer of Central Government that everything can be discussed including the aspirations of youth under the ambit of constitution. He has already said that there would be a comprehensive policy from the Governor’s administration for the employment opportunities to the youth in different sectors.

Already the administration has taken number steps at the government level to make the governance visible. Back to village initiative started by Governor’s administration has shown that the State Governor Satya Pal Malik is keen to walk the talk and show the difference on the ground by his new initiatives to make common man in the villages aware about the initiatives started by his administration. For the intervention of the governance, the administration has already decided to spare many officers for the rural areas so that they can make the difference on the ground by allowing the Centrally-sponsored schemes to reach to the common people.

Mentioning about the special status of J&K State, Governor said that J&K has everything with them like separate flag, separate constitution etc. He said that Central Government was ready to meet the youth and address their concerns and aspirations. He said that some vested interests were spreading rumours about the delimitation commission and about the abrogation of Article 370 and Article 35(A).

State Governor offering talks at a time when the Union Cabinet has already extended President’s Rule in J&K State for another six months. The State is under Central rule from June 20, 2018 when Mehbooba Mufti Government fell due to the withdrawal of support by BJP.  In the coming days the further contours of Kashmir policy will unfold when the Union Home Minister Amit Shah will finally decide how to proceed about Kashmir policy in the fresh initiatives.
