North Kashmir driver goes missing, family seeks governor’s help

Srinagar : Family members and relatives of a missing driver from Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday staged a protest demonstration at Press Enclave in Srinagar.

The family members and relatives of Jan Mohammad Bhat son of Asadullah Bhat a resident of Mamoosa village in Pattan, this morning assembled here at the Press Colony and staged a demonstration seeking whereabouts of the youth, who went missing on March 22. The protesting family members of the driver urged intervention of governor to trace their missing son.

The family members said that Jan was a driver by profession, was driving a Xylo car of Jio Company from the past six months.

“Our son left his home on Friday morning for Srinagar but he has not returned home,” said his father.

“We tried contacting him on his phone but that is switched off since then,” brother of Jan said.

The family members said that on March 23 they lodged a missing report in the police station Pattan.

“There is no development since and no information of Jan has been received by us till now,” they said, adding that Jan has no criminal record and has no police case against his name.

Jan, they said, would work to support the family and has never indulged in any illegal activities.”We plead before authorities to trace Jan, his family is in distress. Help us so that we can have a sigh of relief,” they said.

We appeal Governor Administration and police department to help us in tracing our son.
