Forces lay CASO in Anantnag village, Clashes erupt
Srinagar : Clashes erupted on Monday in Arwani area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district after the security forces laid a cordon-and-search-operation (CASO) in the area.
Reports said that soon after a joint team of government forces including SOG of J&K police, CRPF and army laid a siege to Arwani village, youth took to the streets and pelted government forces to thwart an anti-militant operation. In response to the stone pelting, forces fired some tear smoke shells to disperse the protestors.
However, there were no immediate reports of any injury or loss of life.
