Srinagar: The Joint Resistance Leadership on Thursday called for a complete shutdown on Friday against the mass arrest spree in Kashmir, tinkering with article 35-A and slapping of public safety act on Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front chairperson Muhammad Yasin Malik.

JRL sources said that the leadership comprising of octogenarian Hurriyat Patriarch Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and incarcerated JKLF chairman Yasin Malik have called for a shutdown to protest the mass arrest spree in Kashmir, slapping of draconian Public Safety Act on the pro-freedom leadership and Jama’at-e-Islami leadership.
