One way traffic on highway despite snow at Banihal
Traffic officials in Srinagar said that one way traffic was plying on highway from Jammu to Srinagar on saturday morning. Reports said that traffic was moving slowly due to slippery conditions on the road at several places. A senior traffic officer told this newspaper that there was no stranded vehicles on Srinagar Jammu highway and claimed that all stranded oil tankers were allowed to proceed to Srinagar and other parts of Kashmir.
Meanwhile reports said that seven to eight inches of snow has accumulated at Jawahar tunnel when this report was being filed. However vehicles were coming from Jammu to Srinagar.
