JRL calls for shutdown on Feb 27, 28 against NIA raids, mass arrests
Srinagar, : Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) Tuesday called for a two day complete protest strike against raids of NIA against resistance leadership and mass arrests.
JRL comprising of Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Muhammad Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik as per a statement issued to KNS said, “Wide spread raids of NIA against almost whole resistance leadership, extensive spree of arrests in nooks and corners of Kashmir valley during which thousands have been put behind Bars and threats to tinker with state subject law (35a) the hearing of which is scheduled tomorrow in Supreme Court are all acts aimed at suppressing our voices of Kashmiris by military and police might.”
“Kashmiris cannot watch all this silently and mutely,” they said, adding that two day complete protest strike will be observed on Wednesday 27th February and Thursday 28th February 2019 against ‘colonial acts of rulers aimed against the nation of Jammu Kashmir’. (KNS)
