Parents, students allege Al-Ameen Chinar Valley school forcing coaching classes, books from particular shop

SRINAGAR, : Al-Ameen Chinar Valley Senior Secondary School in Humhama Srinagar allegedly forcing students to join coaching classes which are being conducted in the school premise.
One of the parents washed not to maintain name while talking to News agency Press Trust of Kashmir said, “School authority asked them that if their children don’t join tuition classes in school after winter vacation then be ready for discharge certificate”.
A parent told PTK, “My three children are enrolled in a private school Al-Ameen Chinar Valley Senior Secondary located in Humhama. Now school authorities demand fees for tuition classes also”. Parents alleged that the school authorities force them to send their children to attend tuition classes in the school”.
However parents added that, “the school had called in private suppliers to sell study material like books, uniform, shoes, et cetera in the school premises. We were told to come and purchase from them, but we felt that the same books were available outside for a much lower price and were of a much better quality”.
School managements Al-Ameen Chinar Valley Senior Secondary School denied any wrongdoing and said that parents had twisted the story. School management while speaking to News agency Press Trust of Kashmir agreed that they did ask students to buy books from particular shop but said that there was a reason behind it.
They added, Parents can make mistakes and that’s why we asked them to take books from particular shop adding that “parents can’t waste whole day to find books that is the reason we asked to purchase books from particular shop”.
When asked about the tuition classes they said, “We never told parents to send your children for tuition classes in school but, only said to those students who are weak in some subjects”. (PTK)
