Hizb pays tribute to slain Sabzar, associate
Militant outfit Hizbul Mujhadeen Wednesday paid rich tribute to scholar turned militant Sabzar Ahmed Sofi and his associate Asif Sherguri-who were killed in a gunfight at Wanabal Nowgam in the outskirts of Srinagar.
As per a statement issued to the press, Syed Salahuddin, the Hizb Chief while addressing Command Council meeting said that sacrifices of Sabzar Ahmed Sofi alias Saifullah Khalid and Asif Ahmed will lead nation towards the destination. He said though the separation of intellectuals and scholars is very painful but at the same time these sacrifices take the Movement to new heights and makes it more powerful.
“Whole world is watching how Kashmir as a nation is confronting a big power and people without caring for their life are fighting war for freedom,” he said adding that brother of Sabzar had also sacrificed his life for this Movement in 90’s.
Syed Salahuddin castigated those elements who according to him are compromising with their conscience for petty interests and helping enemy for personal gains. (CNS)
