Authorities clamp down on education and Internet after Nowgham encounter

Authorities have closed down all educational institutions in Srinagar city after two militants were killed in the encounter at Nowgham in wee hours of Wednesday. Police has said that they have sticked to SOP during the gunfight. Police has appealed people not to come close to the building of gunfight till the area is completely sanitised. Authorities have imposed restrictions in entire area of Nowgham to prevent protests and violence.

JRL has given a call to march to Kulgham today to express solidarity with the berieved families of civilians who were killed near the encounter site recently . The Nowgham encounter fallout is suspension of Internet services in Srinagar and closure of all educational institutions. Authorities instead of allowing peaceful protests and other forms of dissent have only one remedy to all such calls that is to impose restrictions and deny Internet access to people in Kashmir valley  JRL has like the authorities failed to give some new programme to people and they have also one response to killings that is hartal.
