Civic polls: JRL calls for valleywide shutdown on Oct 8
Srinagar: The Joint resistance leadership (JRL) on Wednesday called for a complete shutdown in Jammu and Kashmir on October 8 to protest against the commencement of municipal and Panchayat elections.
A statement said that the JRL leaders have asked people to observe complete shutdown across Jammu and Kashmir on 8th October to protest the commencement of the ULB and Panchayat elections.
“The leadership asked people to observe subsequent protest shutdown in their own respective areas as per the poll schedule on 10th, 13th and 16th October 2018 respectively and show their complete disassociation and resentment against it.”
