‘Display Your Talent-2018-19’ : Classical Dance and Elocution conducted on Day 6

Jammu : In ‘Display Your Talent-2018-19’ organized by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu, competitions of Classical Dance and Elocution were conducted at Brig. Rajinder Singh Auditorium. Dean Students Welfare, Prof. Parmeshwari Sharma, Associate Dean (SW) Dr. B.K. Bajaj, Assistant Dean (SW) Dr. Garima Gupta, faculty members, students and scholars of the University of Jammu were present during the events.

In Classical Dance, the First Prize was won by Abhishek from Institute of Music and Fine Arts. Alisha Bangotra from Department of Lifelong Learning and Mehak Rajput secured the Third Position and Certificate of Merit respectively. Ms. Anjali Sharma and Dr. Kulwinder Kaur were the Judges and Dr. Shashiprabha was the Teachers Incharge of the event.

In Elocution, very relevant and contemporary topics like ‘Globalization’, ‘Education’, ‘Social Media’, ‘Changing Values’ etc. were given to the candidates. Seerat Baji from Department of English stood First. Digvijay Singh and Parul Oberoi both from Department of Sociology were declared Second and Third respectively. Prof. P.N. Trisal, Prof. Lalit Magotra and Prof. R.P. Sharma and were Judges and Dr. Kavita Suri was the Teacher Incharge of the event.

The events were coordinated by Mr. Sumeet Sharma (Drama Instructor) & Ifra Kak (Cultural Officer). Rajat Salgotra, Seema Kumari, Guneet Singh, Mehak Jain, Bharti Slathia, Diksha Sharma, Mansi, Sunny Singh, Anup, Sania Mahajan, Richa Sharma, Navleen Kaur and Ajay Vaid did the Hall Management. The sound was operated by Kulbhushan Thakur & Arif Paul. On 21 September, the events of Creative Dance, Clay Modeling and Installation will be conducted at Brig. Rajinder Singh Auditorium.
