Internet suspended cop killed in Batamaloo encounter
Authorities have suspended Internet services in some parts of Srinagar city on Sunday morning as gunfight rages in Batamaloo area of the city.police said that one of thier cops was killed while two other government forces Jawans were battling for thier lives in the hospital . Police said that they have credible inputs about the presence of militants in the area and hiding militants opened fire triggering intense gunfight in which three cops were injured and one of the injured cops identified as Parvez Ahmad succumbed to his injuries in hospital. Reports said that militants managed to escape and police has claimed to have arrested two of thier overground workers.more details of the incident are awaited.
