PDD employees continue to protest over colleague’s death in Sopore
Srinagar : Employees of Power development department (PDD) on Monday staged a protest demonstration against the death of their colleague outside power receiving station in Sopore town of Baramulla.
Scores of the PDD employees gathered outside power station Sopore shouting anti departmental slogans demanded justice to the family of deceased employee Mohammad Ramzan Lone, (50), son of Ali Mohammad Lone, a resident of Nowpora, Wagoora.
On Saturday, Lone was repairing an electric wire and received a shock and fell on the ground., resulting in the death. Later on scores of the daily wagers shouting anti-departmental slogans assembled outside the PDD office in Sopore and accused the department of negligence.
