Thirteen Amarnath Pilgrims Injured In Accident

At least thirteen Amarnath pilgrims heading towards cave shrine in Kashmir were injured in a road accident in Udhampur area of Jammu region on Thursday morning.

Reports said that a vehicle carrying the pilgrims hit a truck parked on a roadside near Birma bridge along the Srinagar – Jammu highway in Udhampur, resulting in injuries to thirteen passengers.

All the injured were taken to a hospital where condition of two of them is said to be critical, they said.

“A case under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigation taken up in this regard,” said a police officer, according to GNS news agency.
