Train service resumes in Kashmir

Srinagar: Train service resumed on Monday after remaining suspended for security reasons for two days in the Kashmir valley.

All the trains were resumed in the valley after a fresh advisory was received on Sunday night from police, a senior railway official told .

He said train will chug on Srinagar-Badgam and Baramulla in north Kashmir track.

Similarly, all the trains resumed on Badgam-Srinagar-Anantnag-Qazigund in south Kashmir to Banihal in Jammu region.

The Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL), comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik had called for complete shutdown on Saturday against shifting of Dukhtaran-e-Milat (DeM) chief Asiya Andrabi and her two associates to New Delhi by National Security Agency (NSA) on Friday.
