One civilian injured during CASO in shopian.

Srinagar: A civilian was hit by bullet as intense clashes between government forces and protesters erupted in Daramdora, Keegam village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district Saturday evening after forces launched Cordon and Search Operation (CASO).

*Local sources said that soon after the CASO was launched locals resorted to intense stone pelting on forces to disrupt their operation who retaliated with tear gas shelling.*

As the clashes intensified and protesters numbers increased the forces resorted to firing to disperse them, they said.

*One Jahangir Ahmad, of nearby Poshwan village was hit by bullet and was referred to district hospital Pulwama.*

*Medical Superintendent Pulwama, Dr Abdul Rashid Parra, told Kashmir Reader that Jahangir was hit by bullet in his abdomen and has been referred to Srinagar for advanced treatment
