Militant’s family accuse army of attempting to burn down their residence, video goes viral

Srinagar : Residents of Kakapora on Thursday held a protest demonstration against the army for allegedly attempting to burn a residential house of a militant in Gudibagh Kakapora.

Scores of the protestors including students, shopkeepers and locals assembled at Kakapora Pulwama road shouting anti-governmental slogans demanded an action against the accused.

The protestors also blocked the main Kakapora-Pulwama road and hampered the traffic movement in the area.

The video clip surfaced in social media on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday in which the family of a militant Adil Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Hassan Dar, a resident of Gudibagh, Kakapora, accused an army of attempting to burn their house by using burning stubble around their house.

Soon after the family raised hue and cry and with a timely action of their neighbour’s, their house was saved from burning.

The family alleged that this is the act of 50 RR camp Kakapora Pulwama, however,  sofar movement of an army in the area is not confirmed. Adil Ahmad dar is active since 19, 03, 2018.
